Ina Garden is an American author of cookbooks who has received Emmy Awards. Ina Garden hosts the oldest Food Network show, Barefoot Contessa. The series began in 2002. The show will run for 27 more seasons. Ina started out with nuclear energy policy and budgets to the White House. Although she found her job to be stimulating intellectually, eventually she dropped interest and decided to purchase a smaller specialty food store - Barefoot Contessa. The business was extremely profitable throughout the 18 years that she opted to let it go. She then began the first book. Many other books and newspaper articles were published. She also appeared on the Food Network TV show also began its first season and became a massive success. She also sells everything from cooking equipment to tools and storage containers. Ina is not a student at any cooking school, nor had a job in a restaurant. She has a complete self-taught. Her casual approach to entertaining and her easy culinary style is well-known. Some of her most famous recipes are Skillet-Roasted Lemon Chicken Beatty's Chocolate Cake Mac and Cheese Beef Bourguignon Balsamic-Roasted Brussels Sprouts and Lemon Bars.
